We live in a world that accepts stress and overwhelm as the norm. Most people are under an immense amount of pressure at work, at home, in their relationships, with their bank accounts, with their future. Days, months and years fly by with us in a constant battle with our gloves on
~Against time ~ Against what might be ~
~Against things that are out of our control ~
~Against the natural flow of energy ~ Against ourselves
Leaving us unhappy and sick. Yes, SICK, physically, mentally and emotionally.Stress is much more than a normal state of overwhelm and panic; it is:
a physical, chemical, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension and may be a factor in disease causation (Merriam Webster)
“…stress is defined as a state in which homeostasis is actually threatened or perceived to be so; homeostasis is reestablished by a complex repertoire of behavioral and physiological adaptive responses of the organism.” (The Integrative Women’s Health Institute)
Living in stress is EXHAUSTING, OVERWHELMING and SCARY. It is not the norm, in fact our modern bodies do not how to manage constant stress. Which is why so many of us are sick and experience physical symptoms of exhaustion, overwhelm, panic attacks, brain fog and depression.
Though it is not only about juggling too many balls and pushing ourselves past the limit; it is about being in an endless cycle of fear and pain. The kind that keeps you up at night, leaves you angry, unsatisfied, depressed and feeling like life is just too much to handle.
Life becomes the giant monster you become the tiny, itty, bitty human under attack. Yet you keep fighting until either you get a wake up call (illness/trauma) or you start remembering.
I AM HERE TO REMIND YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT THAT TINY HUMAN FIGHTING AN ENORMOUS MONSTER. YOU ARE POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE AND YOU CAN LIVE HAPPILY WITHOUT STRESS. YOU CAN HEAL YOUR EXPERIENCE OF STRESS AND DISCOVER PEACE.
All the above emotions are pieces of the experience of life, however can you imagine a life where they were the “servants – the messengers that reminded us of something and then passed by” rather than the “constant rulers of our actions and behaviors?”
Better yet, can you imagine a life where feeling anxious, burnt out, and under pressure did not even exist? Where you:
- Remember who you are
- Deeply understand your purpose
- Trust the flow of the universe
- Let go and allow what is rather than fighting what may be
- Have fun, enjoy, celebrate, play
- Dance with life
- Experience peace
- Clearly and effortlessly take action and complete your tasks
- Lean on your intuition, wisdom and inner tools to support you
- Allow yourself to experience difficult emotions while PROFOUNDLY FEELING SAFE
- FEEL FREEDOM IN YOUR BODY + IN YOUR HEART
