What Are You Committed To?

A few years ago I made a commitment to myself. I didn’t want to suffer. For me suffering included having anxiety, worrying about things that were out of my control, feeling guilty, being overly tired, perfectionism, people pleasing and forgetting about myself, believing “this is as good as it gets,” feeling powerless to overcome my fears, blaming others and myself, and not knowing my purpose.

I realized I didn’t just want to get through life, I wanted to experience a quality of life that felt good and inspired me. I think we all want this. The problem is we don’t know how to get there and we are scared to make changes in our lives. Not to mention the random and consistent obstacles that hop onto our path like red stop lights. If you are experiencing this – let’s connect!

When I look back on what changed – I think about the constant nudging I felt to live life in a different way. I knew at that point that waiting for things to change didn’t work. I knew the blaming other people for my suffering didn’t work. I knew that worrying led to more suffering. And so I made a CLEAR DECISION TO SHIFT MY QUALITY OF LIFE TO A HIGHER PLACE.

“Using the power of decision gives you the capacity to get past any excuse to change any and every part of your life in an instant.” Tony Robbins

Truth bombs:

Did I have the perfect plan? No

Did I know exactly what that meant? Not really

Did it shift over night? No

Does any of that matter to me now? Absolutely not

It all started with the decision to live better and it took me on a journey inwards beginning with my mindset and false beliefs about myself and life.

I began to question my choices, ideas and I dug deeper to find my truest dreams and desires. I learned to ask for help. With time I learned many tools and techniques to positively support my new way of life and help me to remember my own strength. I then found a community of loving and supportive women that were on a similar path. I invested more time and money in unique programs and I blossomed. I took courageous risks and leaps of faith and found that I not only came out alive but with more confidence and freedom than ever before.

Are you allowing “I don’t know” to stop you from making positive changes in your life?

Are you allowing “suffering” to control your life and make your choices?

What decision are you willing to commit to NOW? Not next week, next year, not after you make the money, lose the weight, marry prince charming…NOW.

In closing, I’ll quote Tony Robbins again,

“I challenge you to make your life a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk.” I’m here to support you – share your story with me.
